As a result, affected individuals and businesses will have until October 16, 2023 to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period. This includes 2022 individual income tax returns due on April 18, as well as various 2022 business returns normally due on March 15 and April 18. Among other things, this means that eligible taxpayers will have until October 16 to make 2022 contributions to their IRAs and health savings accounts.” State of California has extended to May 15, 2023.

If you wish to extend your tax returns, we must receive written approval, a signed Extension Acknowledgement Agreement & payment from you to extend your tax returns. We cannot legally file an extension without permission. If we do not hear from you, an extension will not be filed. You may schedule an extension on our website Schedule an extension
Failure to file is a huge penalty (5% per month based on tax due). An extension to file is NOT an extension to pay. Taxes are due March 15, 2023, for S-Corps & Partnerships. Taxes are due April 18, 2023, for individuals, single member LLC’s, Sole Proprietors & C-Corps. Failure to pay is a smaller penalty (0.5% per month based on tax due). If you file an extension for your S-Corp or Partnership your taxes will be due Friday, September 15, 2023. If you file an extension for C-Corp, individual & Single Member LLC’s, your tax return will be due Monday, October 16, 2023.
